Winifred Sanderson, played by Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus, wears one of the most iconic and elaborate witch costumes in popular culture. Her outfit reflects her eccentric, flamboyant, and commanding personality. Winifred's costume blends medieval and renaissance influences with gothic and fantasy elements, making her look like a traditional but theatrical witch. The use of luxurious fabrics, rich colors (green, purple, gold), and dramatic silhouettes enhances her role as the leader of the Sanderson sisters.This costume replicates her look.

A full length purple velvet dress serves as the costumes' base. The attached green laced up top peaks out beneath the topcoat, adding contrast and drama.. The ornate topcoat layer complements the green and purple tones of her gown. The bell sleeves have white gauze extending from the cuffs, further adding to the drama.

The bright red/orange Winifred Sanderson wig is included to complete the look. It's styled in an exaggerated, heart-shaped bouffant, often described as two large buns or horns on either side of her head.
